Minimum qualifications:
Master's degree in Communications/Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with LTE and 5G NR protocols development.
Experience in Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), NAS/SIM protocols.
Experience in C/C++ and embedded RTOS.
Preferred qualifications:
As a Firmware Engineer, you'll focus on development, integration, customization, and performance enhancement of modem features on Android devices, working closely with Pixel Software teams, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and vendors.
You'll develop and enhance the modem protocol stack at certain modules, validate the enhancement through unit test and module test, and resolve the issues from certification, field testing, and customers.
On this team, you will not only have the opportunity to go-deep specific modem protocol stack development or expand your domain knowledge, but also propose your innovative and practical ideas to optimize the Non-access stratum (NAS) and Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) performance.
