Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Global Supply Manager, you will build strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.
In this role, you will work on the supply chain for mechanical parts for consumer devices and lead the sourcing strategy, supply selection, investment, and commercial agreements of suppliers. You will work cross-functionally to develop innovative and sustainable supply chain solutions that enable quality and helpful products develop in partnership with our Engineering teams. You'll utilize strategic supplier relationships to optimize our global supply chain, develop Should Cost Models, and manage supply chain risk through all phases of product development in support of our consumer hardware business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $96,000-$141,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Drive all aspects of the commercial and contractual engagement with our global mechanical supply base. Manage mechanical material spending and related capital investments.
Manage suppliers to ensure production readiness, assurance of supply, and overall quality in support of builds and sustaining operations. Develop and execute global supply chain strategies.
Maintain partnerships with internal partners including Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive innovative, cost effective, and quality solutions that support our overall product launch and sustainability goals.
Manage supply chain risk while creating flexible supply chain solutions. Drive cost reductions with Should Cost Model and work with partners for cost-effective supply chain solutions.
