Labor Relations Specialist

Minimum qualifications:

• Experience in employee and/or labor relations or HR role where proactive collaboration with a works council was required

• Ability to speak and write in German and English fluently

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business/business law, human resources, or a related field

• Experience combining strategic thinking with hands-on, operational work to drive the implementation of concrete initiatives on the ground

• Experience finding practical solutions in a multi-disciplinary stakeholder environment

• Experience with project management and/or change management in a dynamic field

• Experience in learning and working in a constantly changing environment and building and maintaining stakeholder relationships

You will be part of a small but growing (global) team of labor relations professionals. In this position, you will be based in Germany and join a newly-established team of subject matter experts to help build and manage the relationship with local works councils, building on Google’s culture and values.

Responsibilities

• Work with team members and stakeholders to prepare, design and implement information, consultation and/or co-determination processes locally  
• Build and maintain roadmaps and planning documentation, helping to organize, support and coordinate activities across the team
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives and other local and global stakeholders.
• Partner with the wider business to understand planned organizational changes and develop a plan to address those needs from a labor relations point of view
