Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Mainframe technologies (e.g. Cobol, VSAM, JCL, DB2) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
Experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
Experience delivering and implementing board-level migration strategies.

As a Mainframe Specialist, you will engage with our customers to facilitate business transformation, and map success patterns. You will develop materials to support new solutions initiatives to help define use cases and their growth strategy at Google Cloud. You will identify and understand mainframe markets to recommend, plan for, and address core market opportunities with new solutions and use cases. You will help ensure technical and commercial readiness of these solutions, including assets to enable go-to-market teams, and provide field feedback to the product and engineering teams to help shape product direction. You will interface directly with customers, both helping them understand mainframe migrations to Google Cloud Products and gathering their feedback. Finally, you will enable the sales team and counsel partners on the best way to position mainframe-to-Google Cloud Product solutions, explain technical features, and problem-solve potential roadblocks on Google Cloud.
