Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
3 years of experience in coding (i.e. Java) and systems design, working with web services technologies (e.g., HTTP, REST, SOAP, and OAuth)

Digital Payments is one of the fastest-growing services for today’s economy. Efficient, faster, and safer payments benefit users, economies, the financial ecosystem, and Google. The Google Payments team's mission is to connect users to each other and to merchants, and to deliver low-cost, instant, and secure payments.
We also drive the business generation engine for Google products. We work and interface with various parts of the banking/payments ecosystem, including networks, issuers, gateways, and fintechs to deliver the best solutions globally. Our goal is to enable safe and easy payments for Google users and to drive growth across all of our products.
Technical reliability and health of the Payments platforms both internal and external, is critical to the success of the payments ecosystem.
In this role, you will be the primary technical advocate representing Google Pay with our banking partners/payroll service providers, collaborating with them to provide technical inputs and recommendations on systems design and operational practices, that will help improve and sustain a high level of reliability for the UPI payments stack with Google Pay.
