Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a similar field.
15 years of experience in software based technical product management.
Experience driving strategy and providing technical guidance to a team.
Experience with Regulatory, Privacy, Security, and/or Safety products.
Experience communicating with C-level executives, and excellent cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Experience with thought leadership around user privacy, security, regulations, and ethics.
Ability to develop other product managers on the team by setting the strategy and coaching.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with excellent product and technical abilities in areas related to infrastructure and ecosystems.
Passion for technology and technical depth to uncover causes of complex technical problems and provide guidance on solving them.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will influence product efforts with critical scope, going to the heart of the user experience, and high business impact, touching the main business driver of the company and the internet at large. You will report into the Ads Privacy and Regulatory Pillar Product Management leader and supervise critical cross-Ads initiatives. You will also drive coherent product and technical plans, through innovation and making Google a thought leader in privacy and trust within a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
In this role, you will define and execute an Ads wide strategy for high priority regulations and commitments, ensuring Google is compliant with existing regulation, anticipating future privacy and trust changes, and determining how privacy and trust is respected across the internet.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $246,000-$361,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Lead the Product and Technical plans for large-scale regulatory efforts to ensure Google Ads has the right strategy in place.
Gain alignment with executive leadership to drive compliance, especially for key efforts like the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
Engage with engineering and product teams across Ads and other key cross-functional groups to build company-wide solutions and data protection solutions.
Navigate through complexity. Advocate for users' privacy while leading the product outlook to create regulatory compliance and privacy-safe products to support systems that work not just for Google, but for users and the ecosystem as a whole.
