Product Manager, Global Android

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

• 8 years of experience in product management with technical products

• Experience driving elements of the product development life-cycle such as product vision, go-to-market strategy, driving requirements, and product launch

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction

• Experience working closely with distributed teams/across time zones

• Experience effectively working with multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing

• Experience conceptualizing and landing new apps or features for international markets

• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority

As a Product Manager, you'll directly contribute to Android's ability to scale globally and be helpful for everyone. The Android Internationalization team builds platform level improvements, develops features that enable multilingual experiences, and drives customized user experiences for strategic markets. We do this with nuanced understanding of strategic markets and user preferences.

Responsibilities

• Drive the vision and product roadmap to improve overall internationalization quality for existing and new Android/Pixel markets, with primary focus on Japan.
• Deliver customized user experiences and services for key strategic markets. Gain deep insight into local user needs, assessing high level opportunity areas, and conceptualizing and validating product ideas that target these strategic markets.   
• Partner with Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, UX, and other Android cross-functional in-region teams to create, drive, and deliver an innovative, compelling, and user-friendly experience to global users.
• Work closely with partners in the Central Google Internationalization team.
