Program Manager, Strategic Search Initiatives

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

• 8 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in project management
• Experience with Google shopping or working with retail advertisers
• Knowledge of Google’s search and shopping products
• Ability to create strategic programs to drive performance (e.g., scalable implementation plans)
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team on spreadsheets and multiple sources of data to turn numbers into insights, segments, clusters, and feeds
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently

As a Program Manager for Strategic Search Initiatives, you will be responsible for driving business development with retail and e-commerce clients across India to help them accelerate their digital transformation leveraging shopping systems. You will also develop and maintain an understanding of the customers' core business objectives, challenges, and their business position relative to the industry, the market, and their competition.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify streams of growth for the search business.
• Build relationships with the sales team (e.g., industry managers, account managers) and sales leadership (e.g., industry heads, directors) to drive strategic search pilots.
• Engage with regional and global product teams to build for India.
• Work with the marketing team to create scaled activation for initiatives.
• Build the go-to-market strategy for initiatives as well as interventions like YouTube search.
