Program Manager, Strategy and Business Operations

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 3 years of experience in a management consulting role or relevant work experience.

• Experience in creating strategy roadmaps, assessing return on investment, forecasting, and conducting quarterly business reviews.

• Experience with global business operations.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a business management field with emphasis on business operations and strategy.
• 5 years of work experience in management consulting with a focus on large scale, complex, operational and strategic initiatives.
• Experience in the data center industry with a focus on supplier management, project management, global operations, or cost controls in industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, including modeling and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

About the job

The Strategy and Business Operations team within Server Operations leads the strategy and multi-year transformation of the end-to-end strategic enablers for Global Server Operations across multiple supply chain and data center infrastructure teams.

As a Strategy and Business Operations Program Manager for the Global Server Operations team, you will support strategic executions, facilitating, planning, and prepping slide content for strategy and project meetings. You will support a team that holds responsibility for keeping the servers, networks, and logistics processes in Google’s data centers running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, systems, gathering/synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing compelling, insightful recommendations.
• Manage initiatives and drive programs both regularly and on an ad hoc basis to maximize hosting operating efficiencies. Program manage operational reviews, organization level communications, and strategy summits to drive execution against/impact from the organization's strategy.
• Provide strategic, analytical support for all business intelligence activities for Google’s Server Operations business. Interact cross-functionally with a variety of leaders/teams.
• Work with operations colleagues to help shape/drive the tactical/strategic development of Google's Server Operations business. Leverage business acumen and industry knowledge to develop/deliver intelligence and business analytics.
• Perform business analytics and decision support models. Communicating results, methods, and findings to leadership and influence leads to taking action on these findings.
