Program Manager, Vendor Management

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

• 4 years of experience in operations/business management and vendor management

• Experience with problem-solving using analytics and/or applying project management tools

Preferred qualifications:

• Project management certification (e.g., Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, etc.)
• 4 years of experience in the extended workforce industry (e.g., vendor management, setting and driving vendor strategy, process improvement, and project management)
• Experience in risk and change management
• Ability to work with multiple suppliers, cross-functional and, business teams, to set up, stabilize, and scale new product operations
• Excellent presence, relationship building, and solution-selling capabilities to executive leadership

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will work on scaling Google Nest business into new countries and carrier channels, establishing strategic technical and product relationships with partners globally, helping prioritize our engineering efforts on critical areas, and identifying opportunities for technology differentiation. You'll help get our products ready for commercial deployment and continuous landing.

The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in setting up and running vendor extended workforce operations across multiple service capabilities at global scale.
• Manage critical workflows operated by vendors within the region.
• Use project management skills and innovative thought process to recommend solutions that will help improve evolving workflows, advance operations, and prepare for scaling.
• Be accountable for vendor performance, including overseeing staffing, Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, quality performance, and other operations metrics.
• Manage provisioning and enabling vendors to operate as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).
