    Position summary

Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust and Safety team works to enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in the ever-evolving digital world.

    In this role, you will be a key member of the Intel Desk's regionally focused intelligence team, charged with identifying and assessing trends in India to determine their impact on YouTube content. You will work with cross-functional teams across Trust and Safety and YouTube to get ahead of content trends, making YouTube a safer place for users.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand the social, political, and cultural context in India to anticipate and analyze potential YouTube content implications.
    • Build knowledge in the Indian YouTube ecosystem and develop familiarity with video and channel content.
    • Communicate nuanced analysis to executive management and cross-functional stakeholders in order to drive prioritization and risk mitigation decisions.
    • Support operational counterparts during fast-moving and ambiguous situations to assist in the mitigation of content risk on YouTube.
