The Risk and Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that Alphabet complies with all laws and regulations applicable to its contingent workforce globally. The team does this by identifying and assessing risks, setting requirements and obligations, designing and assessing controls, and doing this all through appropriate governance to provide visibility and reporting to key stakeholders. The team also manages supplier risk by auditing and testing suppliers to expectations and policies, assessing escalations and risk events involving suppliers, and enforcing through consequence management the necessary remedial steps to protect Alphabet against legal, regulatory, and operational risk.

Responsibilities

• Support the centralized Risk and Compliance program for the Asia Pacific region.
• Align with local risk and compliance, audit, and other teams as necessary to understand local risks for escalation, reporting, and remediation.
• Monitor and integrate local regional risk trends and topics, benchmark competitor programs for and escalate through appropriate channels to keep Alphabet ahead of risks and threats in the region.
