Research Scientist, Computer Vision and Machine Learning

Minimum qualifications:

• PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or equivalent pratical experience

• Experience with publishing at conferences/journals in ML/CV (e.g., CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/NeurIPS/ICLR/ICML/IJCV/PAMI)

• Experience programming with C++ and/or Python

• Experience developing ML/deep learning models for computer vision tasks

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience leading an impactful research agenda on one of the following topics: object detection and tracking, text understanding from images, or multimodal embeddings for visual tasks
• Industry experience in the field of computer vision and machine learning (this includes internships)
• Experience with influencing or tech leading an applied research project

The AR Semantic Perception team develops novel core technology around 3D artificial intelligence and machine learning. In particular scene and object understanding, high-level text understanding, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, object detection, and tracking.

As a Research Scientist, you will join one of our development projects in the space of models and algorithms for object detection and tracking, text understanding from images, multi-modal embeddings for visual tasks, and deep learning for video processing.

• Develop innovative computer vision and machine learning technology for applications in the field of augmented reality and beyond.
• Drive the technology development process from the initial idea to product launch.
• Communicate with product-facing and cross-functional teams to support the productionization aspects of the technology/algorithm.
• Be able to publish the results of the work at scientific venues.
