    Position summary

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

    • 2 years of experience managing partnerships with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.

    • Experience with data analytics.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience programming and using analytical tools.

    • Experience problem solving, with the ability to translate analytical insights into business strategies and actions.

    • Experience collecting, managing, and synthesizing data sets and information from disparate sources, data mining, and data analysis.

    • Knowledge of product and policy, and the ability to understand and design training roadmaps.

    • Ability to communicate and persuade between multiple levels of an organization.

Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy.

    In this role, you will analyze data and scaled systems of review. You will be a key contributor to the strategy for reducing network badness on YouTube. You will coach others, solve technological challenges, and set scalable standards. You will balance the short-term requirements we face while demonstrating the ability to see the big picture and make quantitatively based long-term recommendations accordingly.

    This role may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content during team escalations in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines. The role might also require on-call work at weekends and holiday hours on a rotational basis.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform investigations using various data sources, identify product vulnerabilities, and drive anti-abuse experiments to prevent abuse. Work closely with engineers and interact cross-functionally with stakeholders to improve operational workflows via process improvements, automation, and anti-abuse system creation.
    • Maintain, foster, and promote quality by providing regular feedback metrics to the Global team. Manage technological solutions for streamlining quality assurance. Produce scalable training solutions to emergent workflows.
    • Develop training materials, create consensus, and maintain communication for YouTube Scaled Abuse with business stakeholders.
    • Learn technical concepts and systems, delivering meaningful results using them. Communicate highly technical results and methods clearly.
