    Position summary

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

    • 3 years of experience with physical design, signoff or Computer Aided Design (CAD).

    • Experience in scripting language such as Perl, TCL, Shell or Python.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience in physical design flows and methodologies such as timing, power, EMIR, DRC/LVS/PERC, timing eco, APR, floorplan or powerplan.

    • Experience in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) or IP vendors management/engagement.

    • Experience with design or flow in advanced nodes (N5, N4, N3).

    • Experience in QoR metrics, design trends analysis or creating dashboards/reports.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the teams to develop new flows, tools, and features.
    • Support execution of the tools and flows currently used in the design process.
    • Develop design methodologies, automation scripts, and write documentation and/or deliver training.
    • Perform technical evaluations of vendors, process nodes and IP, and provide recommendations.
    • Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery regression system to ensure flow delivery quality.
