Software Engineer, Machine Learning, Edge TPU

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• 8 years of experience in software development and with data structures/algorithms.

• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.

• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, and/or natural language processing.

• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, or Python).

• Experience with computer architecture, accelerator architecture design, power and/or performance analysis

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ML model developers, researchers, and Edge TPU hardware/software teams to accelerate the transition from research ideas to exceptional user experiences running on the Edge TPU.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to build tools for large-scale AutoML.
• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure modules needed for automating customization and training of neural networks. Write modular and efficient ML training pipelines.
• Work collaboratively with researchers and application developers to customize neural network architectures. Collect performance/power data on the given hardware platform.
• Develop and implement efficient algorithms for searching the space of neural network architectures for a given task and hardware configuration.
