Staff Software Engineer, Android Backup and Restore

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Candidates will typically have 8 years of experience in software development in Java, C++, or Python.

• Experience with technical leadership (e.g., leading project teams, setting technical direction).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Candidates will typically have 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.
• Experience with Android.

• Manage improvements to product and processes to ensure high quality designs.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Photos, Google One, Auth, Google Play, Setup Wizard).
