Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., TensorFlow), artificial intelligence, deep learning, and/or natural language processing.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional and/or cross-business projects.
Experience in building and deploying models in products.
Experience in TensorFlow and/or JAX.

The Domain Solutions team's mission is to provide a well-lit path to accelerate cutting-edge research to production by providing standardized and efficient ML solutions in key domains like Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Recommendations.
Our solutions empower a wide range of Google products across many product areas, including Search, Ads, YouTube, Geo, Google Cloud, Waymo, and more to land ML-based innovations with significant quality, performance, and productivity. Domain Solutions is part of Google's Core ML organization, which is the center gravity of Google's ML infrastructure and solution efforts.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. Additional Information

Design efficient ML models and distillation/compression/pruning algorithms that can be deployed to server and mobile use cases
Apply and productionize state-of-the-art large language and multi-modal research
Collaborate closely with researchers and ML engineers across product areas to build critical features
Identify new opportunities to speed up production ML workflows and create and execute on technical road maps
Understand the gaps to flow research to production, identify pain points and challenges, and develop advanced ML technologies and tools to fill the gaps
