Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
5 years of experience testing and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Experience with performance optimization, evaluation and analysis, and Android OS development.

As a Performance Staff Software Engineer on the Android Automotive Partner Engineering team, you'll be at the forefront of the automotive industry, ensuring cars launch with Android Automotive OS that is the simplest and safest way to stay connected, productive, and entertained in the car.
Performance and stability of the platform is critical for driving use cases for both safety and user experience. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the performance of our Google Automotive Services (GAS) original equipment manufacturer (OEM) platforms in collaboration with SoC vendors, car manufacturers, and numerous internal teams.
You will work closely with external partners and internal teams to serve as the representative of the automotive industry, and help steer the direction of Google's architecture and codebase while balancing the unique partner implementation details. You'll proactively identify gaps and potential issues, drive solutions, and then scale these solutions to the entire automotive industry.
