Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 10 years of experience in program management.

• 5 years of people management experience.

• Experience working with Engineering, Sales, Service, and Marketing teams in cloud computing or related technical fields.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s, PhD degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical related field.
• Experience hiring and leading teams, including distributed teams and vendors.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical global, cross-functional groups.
• Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Program Manager, you will join the Google Cloud Platforms team. You will mobilizing cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions for scale and data-driven decision making to launch and take to market solutions that accelerate our customers’ success in the cloud. Your passion, technical and business depth, and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills will inspire our teams and rapidly establish trust amongst a diverse set of stakeholders and customers.

In this role, you will solve challenging engineering problems. You will contribute leadership and experience managing across disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. You will drive launches, improve productivity and quality standards, resolve problems, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement change.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, manage, and grow a team of Technical Program Managers.
• Set the vision and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives; evaluate and supervise multiple projects, organize cross-project work within the program, and define program controls/governance/standards.
• Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes. Bring visibility and strengthen communication across the teams.
• Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery across the complete portfolio of Cloud products and solutions.
• Engage with Engineering, Product leaders, and other TPM groups to streamline processes; simplify execution, manage objective and key results (OKRs), release on time, bring tooling for efficiencies, and help the teams with execution.
