Technical Program Manager, Real Estate and Workplace Services

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• 15 years of project management experience of cross-functional programs for SaaS based products or technologies.

• Experience with the software development lifecycle and using agile methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

• Build scalable monitoring and alerting for all types of systems and services in the Real Estate and Workplace portfolio.
• Understanding of requirements for reliable, resilient software development, including testing, monitoring, alerting, SLO and SLA driven issue turnaround.
• Ability to proactively adapt to evolving business needs and guide the project team through change.
• Ability to influence peers and managers while dealing with ambiguity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem solving, conflict/resolution management, and active listening skills.

The Real Estate and Workplace Services team at Google manages a portfolio of buildings that require considerable technology systems and services to keep them running safely and efficiently and keep Googlers happy and comfortable.

You'll create solutions to address and reduce risk in Privacy, Security, and Insider Risks areas. You will help build scalable monitoring and alerting for all types of systems and services. You'll identify tool consolidation and defragmentation opportunities and improve ROI on resource expenditure on tools.

You'll have the opportunity to bring best product, technical project management, and engineering practices at scale to focus on internal tools and systems and ensure Google's enterprise runs smoothly and with minimal technological risk.

Responsibilities

• Work with Engineering and vendors to bring technical program management and engineering, technological and data risk management best practices to bear on all technology systems and services.
• Address and reduce risk in Privacy, Security, and Insider Risks areas of the Real Estate and Workplace systems and services portfolio.
• Manage vendor relationships with Systems Integrators. Drive release management and change management processes for the central team.
• Work with Engineering and vendors to build scalable monitoring and alerting for all types of systems and services in the workplace systems and services tech portfolio.
• Identify tool consolidation and defragmentation opportunities to improve tool customer satisfaction.
