Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience creating content (e.g., developer documentation, computer science course materials, and/or IT admin playbooks) for technical audiences.
5 years of experience leading or managing technical writers, teams, and/or projects.
Experience reading code in a programming language such as Java, C++, Javascript or Python.
Preferred qualifications:
In this role, you'll lead a team of technical writers to drive the success of both Stadia and Immersive Stream. You'll manage the day-to-day work of a small team of technical writers, guide them in executing on organization level strategies to elevate and maintain the quality of documentation. You will coach the team's career development while helping them to grow as writers and Googlers. Through Immersive Stream for Gaming, we are making our infrastructure and tools available to developers and publishers who want to build their own interactive streaming platforms, and deliver their games directly to their customers. We aim to grow the industry across gaming and other interactive streaming applications.
Stadia is Google’s cloud-based gaming platform, designed for everyone to play games on devices they already own. Custom built hardware, cutting-edge data centers and rapidly-evolving open source technology deliver a seamless gaming experience for players to discover, engage, and connect with their favorite games. Our team members are building the tools that will push game development by our partners to new levels, reducing the barrier to entry and bringing gaming to everyone.
