Trusted Experience Principal, Google Play and Android

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business operations, policy/law, a technology related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7 years of experience in operations, policy development/creation, consulting, program management, and/or process design.

• 3 years of experience leading projects in a cross-functional environment with Sales, Engineering, Product, Legal, and/or Operations teams.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Analytical, Technical, Operations Management, or Business).
• Experience in policy development, content moderation/security policies, anti-abuse product management, or customer support/help center.
• Experience in data analysis, process design/improvement, launch/incubation, product/internal tools launches, and/or other operational program management.
• Ability to articulate complex policy principles and guidelines for technical products to multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders or partners.
• Ability to solve large, unstructured business problems, working closely with cross-regional and cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales/Business Development, Engineering, Product, Legal, and/or Operations).
• Excellent communication skills.

The Google Play and Android team within Trust and Safety provides business-critical content policy enforcement, partner support, and content ingestion to facilitate, review, and manage the digital content catalog of Google Play. Our Trust and Safety team has the responsibility of protecting Google's users by ensuring online safety by fighting abuse and fraud across Google products.

In this role, you will create a trustworthy experience for Google Play users. You'll work globally and cross-functionally with Engineers, Product Managers, Business Development, Policy Creation, Operations, and other teams to evolve the systems and processes used to keep the Google Play ecosystem healthy.

Responsibilities

• Build next-generation of teams, systems, and operations to meet the demands of Google Play users.
• Cultivate and demonstrate trust leadership by setting strategies to identify, measure, and reduce policy non-compliance of user and developer generated content in the Google Play product.
• Partner with Policy Creation and Product Management teams to advance and launch Google Play-wide policies and enforcement solutions, which ensure a safe app experience for users while reducing friction for developers.
• Lead root cause analyses to identify enforcement gaps and work with scaled Operations, Engineering, Product, and Tools teams to optimize our workflows.
• Provide on-call coverage periodically for Google Play issues and escalations.
