    Position summary

    ember of the recently established Contracts Center of Excellence, which is responsible for the enterprise-wide contracting needs of the company. We are looking for a Legal Contract Analyst to join our legal team who embraces a curiosity-driven, business-enabling mindset and will assist the business in the drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements. Your primary focus will be on standard commercial agreements to support the business such as customer sales agreements, product supplier purchase agreements, customer services agreements, mutual non-disclosure agreements, and other similar agreements. However, you will also support the enterprise on other indirect procurement agreements with appropriate attorney and business support.

    You will report to the Legal Contract Manager aligned with commercial transactions.

    You Will:

    • Generate agreements from standard approved templates.

    • Draft, review and negotiate (with appropriate attorney oversight and support) a variety of standard / routine product and services sales and direct procurement contracts, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our business objectives.

    • Support continuous improvement by implementing new processes, document templates, playbooks, and training materials.

    • Collaborate with other team members in Grainger's legal team (including legal counsel responsible for contract negotiations) and other members of the Grainger Corporate Affairs team.

    • Liaise with sales and supplier management partners to answer questions about processes, matter status, contracts, and other Contracts Center of Excellence inquiries.

    • Work together with senior members of Grainger's Corporate Affairs team on project-based legal assignments and initiatives.

    • Assist with Corporate Affairs department projects.

    • Embrace curiosity with a learning mindset.

    You Have:

    • At least a bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university or college.

    • 3+ years of experience in contract management positions, preferably in distribution (industrial, commercial, or retail) or manufacturing.

    • Understanding of commercial contract terms, legal language, and risk assessment.

    • Track record in reviewing, revising, and negotiating a diverse range of contracts.

    • Integrity and commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values.

    • Team oriented and can get along with diverse corporate professionals and work with personnel at all levels.

    • The capability for advancement beyond this role.
