    Position DetaIls:
    As Senior Manager, ESG Strategy and Governance, you will lead a team that develops and manages all processes, procedures, and programs for Grainger's Supplier Stewardship programs, including our governance of Environmentally Preferred Products, Supplier Diversity Programs, Scope 3 Emissions, and Country of Origin. You will also support various internal and external reporting requests including Grainger's Annual ESG report and reports for our Executive leadership team. You will report to the Director, Global Product Compliance and Supplier Stewardship.

    You Will:

    • Apply advanced subject matter technical knowledge and data analysis to solve complex matters and drive insights and recommendations to the broader organization.

    • Lead complex cross-functional departmental activities and/or projects requiring advanced analyses and processes in the areas of Supplier Stewardship.

    • Lead projects to completion through prioritization, planning, and deploying larger initiatives within Supplier Stewardship with a strategic mindset.

    • Address problems that are varied, complex, and often non-reoccurring that require team member or cross-functional input and creative and diagnostic techniques to resolve the issue.

    • Ensure standardization and adherence to policies and best practices, develop the analytics and capabilities required for successful Supplier Stewardship operations, and establish the measures of overall program effectiveness.

    • Lead and develop a strong performing team in the areas of end-to-end understanding of the customer and business, analysis and critical thinking with a commercial lens, problem solving and continuous improvement.

    You Have:

    • Bachelor's degree

    • 7+ years relevant experience managing an organization-wide or large function's Supplier Stewardship program including Supplier Diversity, Scope 3 Emissions, Environmentally Preferred Products, and/or Country of Origin Compliance.

    • Previous experience directly managing a team and leading others through change, process analysis, and redesign initiatives.

    • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into measurable action.

    • Experience implementing project management principles including establishing program milestones, proactively tracking issues, establish key performance metrics, escalating and mitigating risk that may threaten program delivery, and providing updates and/or recommendations to executive-level leadership.

    • Robust presentation skills and ability to create presentations. Ability to create process flow diagrams in Visio or other software applications as needed.
