cal assistance and support to Quality Systems, Customer Service, and Shipping Departments.
Maintain and update systems required for customer reporting, document and record management, QS Department training, quality performance measurements and continuous improvement activities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Raw material COA review for timely release to production.
Generation and investigation of internal nonconformance, supplier nonconformance, and customer complaints.
Customer Reporting:
Manages the pest control program with external pest control company.
Responsible for rework process and managing current inventory (correct qty, location, tagged, etc.)
QS Backup for first batch meeting.
Reviews and approves new or any change to finished goods label.
Manages Customer Shelf-Life extension requests and responds in a timely fashion.
Manages open product claims
Responsible for customer returns
Maintains quality related product information file (i.e. First batch form, labels, and Customer Shelf-Life Extension requests).
Updates LIMS and ERP systems as necessary to maintain correct shelf life, preship, and testing information.
Participates in internal audit program by conducting audit(s) to ensure the process is followed to the expectations.
Weekly warehouse audits and manufacturing process audits to ensure operators are following work instructions, and GMPs as needed.
GMP audits
Back fill coverage to the below as needed:
Preparing for and participating in second- and third-party audits.
Other FSQS projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related sciences.
3-5 years' experience in the food industry in quality control and/or assurance role.
LSS Yellow Belt preferred.
Experience with internal and process audits.
Flexibility to work 2nd & 3rd shifts as needed; 3pm-1:30am and 9pm-7:30am.
Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
Must have the ability to multi-task and have strong planning and organizational skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a service minded orientation.
Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English Language.
