    Position summary

    very, motions, subpoenas and all other type of legal pleadings from draft to final form.

    • E-file documents with the court as needed; secure documents from the court portals.

    • Manage calendar and assist in meeting deadlines.

    • Attend and coordinate meetings.

    • Perform other clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, composing and typing correspondence and reading and routing incoming mail.

    • File correspondence and legal documents in office filing system (currently Legal Files).

    • Ensure proper indexing, naming, classifying and filing of original legal documents.

    • Support Attorneys in multiple states and willingness to learn processes and rules in other states.

    • Schedule medical exams and depositions.

    • Coordinate and communicate with vendors for depositions, subpoenaed records, examinations, etc.

    • Collaborate with other legal assistants, paralegals, and hearing representatives to ensure proper file maintenance and file handling.

    • Assist with other various tasks assigned by Workers' Compensation defense attorneys.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

    • Minimum of 2+ years related workers' compensation defense experience in GA, NY or MD.

    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, including the ability to use Teams with video.

    • Proficient in use of legal case management system.

    • Knowledge of court e-filing system.

    • Works well with others and establishes sound working relationships.

    • Keyboard and typing skills.
