Our Sourcing Procurement and Relationship Consultants (SPARC) team is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to join our growing team in the Worcester, MA area. This is a full time, exempt role.
POSITION OVERVIEW: This dynamic role is responsible for supporting the Hanover’s business customers to procure goods and services required to meet strategic goals. The Sourcing Analyst will provide support to senior sourcing professionals by managing assigned work, including contract processing and RFx facilitation. The Sourcing Analyst will gain responsibility for more complex assignments with guidance from sourcing leadership and their direct manager.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
• Support activities in all four phases of the sourcing life cycle (Strategy, Evaluation & Selection, Contract Management and Performance Management) for contract renewals, statements of work, change orders, and terminations
• Effectively manage assigned work and other sourcing initiatives as assigned in accordance with standard operating procedures. Maintain high quality data in sourcing applications.
• Work as part of a sourcing project team to solve current operational issues, provide sourcing solutions to a business unit or driving cost efficiency in the business unit.
• Perform due diligence on potential vendors, as assigned.
• Help prepare and issue RFx sourcing documents with sourcing team and business areas.
• Learn contract methodology and contract artifacts to provide assistance in the preparation of contractual documents.
• Provide process feedback and support process improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing activities.
• Negotiate a variety of low dollar contracts.
• Support the implementation of sourcing practices and standards.
• Learn and become proficient in sourcing work tools to manage the flow of contracts, requisitions third party risk management and purchase orders.
• Facilitate and support third party risk management processes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
• 3 or more years of professional experience, ideally in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to influence others through strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Promotes and facilitates free and open communication.
• Understands the importance of developing and maintaining cooperative relationships at all levels of the organization, despite differing perspectives.
• Builds knowledge of negotiating techniques to achieve various business goals.
• Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems in a timely manner.
• Easily adapts to new or different changing situations, requirements or priorities.
• Cultivates an environment of teamwork and collaboration.
• Proficient with a variety of computer-based tools needed to analyze data and present results (https://i.e. MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
• Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment
• Ability to travel as necessary, less than 5% of workdays
• Ability to operate in an open office environment
