Sourcing Consultant

Our Strategic Sourcing department is seeking a Sourcing Consultant to join our growing team in our Worcester, MA offices.  This is a full time, exempt role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This critical role is responsible for the strategic development and execution of business objectives, operational requirements, and sourcing methodology in support of the Strategic Sourcing Office and its business unit partners.
 
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: 

• Shape activities in all phases of the sourcing life cycle (Strategy, Assessment & Selection, Contract Management and Performance Management).
• Work closely with internal Stakeholders to plan and develop a multi-year sourcing roadmap.
• Participate in the creation and on-going development of a strategic approach to managing corporate & business unit spend.
• Identify sourcing synergies across multiple business units.
• Define and present complex Sourcing solutions to business units and senior management.
• Perform in-depth financial and service due diligence to reduce risk.
• Build strong working relationships with business unit personnel, vendors and industry counterparts.
• Prepare and issue complex Requests for Proposals. Lead business teams in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the RFP responses.
• Prepare contractual documents and negotiate appropriate terms and conditions.
• Support ad-hoc business requests  

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY: 

• Bachelor’s level degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent.
• Typically has 5+ years professional experience.
• Experience with preparing and negotiating 3rd party vendor contracts.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal customers.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and independent problem-solving skills.
• Promotes and facilitates free and open communication.
• Ability to effectively work independent as well as in a team environment when required.
• Accepts new ideas and embraces change reacting to different situations, or priorities on a timely basis.
• Proficient with a variety of computer-based tools needed to analyze data and present results (i.e. MS Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
