YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Director of Retail Sales, the Category Management Lead for Consumer Adhesives will work with local Sales teams and NA Headquarters to drive business growth with key retailers. The business mission is to achieve results that are mutually beneficial to Henkel and to our retail customers. The Category Management Lead will be the voice of the shopper and consumer throughout the organization. This position engages with and drives the mining and leveraging of insights from a variety of data sources (ex. IRI POS & Panel data, retailer data, shopper insights, Numerator, and custom studies) to provide category thought leadership, including the identification of DPSM (Distribution, Pricing, Shelving, Merchandising) opportunities for the customer and internal stakeholders.

  • Champion a continuous learning mindset throughout the organization.
  • Develop others in meeting and exceeding customer and company objectives, while building a culture that embodies Henkel Core Values.
  • Lead internal meetings with a diverse set of stakeholders to drive consumer, shopper, and category learnings to educate, lead, and help achieve various team objectives.
  • Provides support of presentation development and delivery for key projects for Henkel and customer as required.
  • Using Henkel databases, work with Henkel HQ personnel to identify current category insights to develop into stories and answer Henkel and retailer business questions
  • Leading special projects or being a topic/tool expert for the Category Management team and the total Henkel Organization
  • Proactively identify and quantify DPSM opportunities at the account level
  • Partner to deliver account specific feedback to deliver on omni channel strategies and opportunities
  • Provide insights to inform on channel/ account-specific strategies and action plans and address account specific needs
  • Provide plan-o-gram optimization recommendations to maximize customer category and Henkel sales
  • Implement and localize Henkel global and national strategies at customer account level
  • Interact with other team members globally and locally to share category insights, analytic approaches/tools, story-telling, and best practices.
  • Train, Collaborate, and share best practices with members of Sales & Category Management Team
