JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day general accounting and financial responsibilities of Hayes including ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and adherence to all Henry Schein (HS) corporate policies. This position is responsible for the on-time and accurate submissions of the monthly and quarterly closes, monthly forecasts and budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close. Prepare, review and/or approve detailed journal entries for adjusting entries, accruals, reserves and standard journal entries and perform accrual and adjusting journal entries. Review general ledger account analyses for both P/L and Balance Sheet
Help establish and maintain internal controls and align with Henry Schein policies and procedures in partnership with HS Corporate Finance, Accounting and Internal Audit teams
Oversee AP and AR functions, providing management and oversite to finance staff and partnering with Hayes business leaders to ensure accurateness and completeness of all processes
Oversee headcount and payroll processes including commission calculations
Execute banking and treasury functions, working closely with HS vertical team
Support HS tax team regarding sales and income tax activities at the business
Communicate risks and opportunities on timely basis while proposing potential solutions
Identify, recommend and drive process improvements
Participate in franchise acquisitions and special projects as required
Supervise a team of two employees
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 7 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; first-level manager.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Accounting or Finance. CPA and/or Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
The posted range for this position is $83,520 to $146,160 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
This position is eligible for a [bonus/incentive] not reflected in the posted range.
