    Position summary

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    To provide team building and leadership to drive market share in assigned geographic area, keeping in line with profitability goals and objectives.  Support and oversee all phases of field sales within specific Zone through information, communication, teamwork and training & development of new team members.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Provide one on one leadership and training for all sales management TSMs in zone while also stressing the importance of Career Development.  This includes but is not limited to regularly scheduled meetings and coaching sessions with TSMs, and regular interaction with the sales teams, customers and vendors.
    • Increase market share within all markets in the zone.  Assist Regional Managers in retention, recruiting and training of all sales TSMs. 
    • Oversee administration and implementation of all zone and national marketing programs.
    • Manage the profitability of the zone and all regions.  Oversee specific profit margins and ensure cohesion and consistency with corporate objectives.  This includes asset and P&L management for all regions and zone.
    • Conduct quarterly one on one meetings with all regional management TSMs to establish goals, review progress (including adherence to budget) and implement strategies for success.
    • Manage and resolve Zone TSM issues and concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner, supporting these issues with appropriate documentation and requesting the assistance of Human Resources when necessary.  Regularly coach and counsel Regional Managers and other Zone TSMs towards attaining performance and career goals. 
    • Oversee the Regional Managers involvement in the recruiting, selection, and training of regional sales TSMs.  Perform recruiting functions for all zone management positions. 
    • Attend all major conventions in the zone as well as all corporate meetings as directed by VP GM.   
    • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

    • Prior management experience of 7 years preferred.
    • Prior sales experience of 5 years required.
    • College degree strongly preferred.
    • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills required.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people in a team environment.
    • Exceptional organization, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Computer Skills, including spreadsheet capabilities required.
    • Available to travel.

    • Excellent negotiating skills and ability to effectively manage strategic alliances, joint ventures and outsourced relationships
    • Ability to influence, build relationships, understand organizational complexities, manage conflict and navigate politics
    • Broad professional and managerial skills with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures
    • Lead and develop virtual teams
    • Mastery in multiple technical and business skills
    • Excellent strategic planning skills

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    Typically 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 7 or more years of management experience.

    PREFERRED EDUCATION: 

    Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

    TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    Travel typically less than 40% - 60%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
