Position summary

metrics. Coordinates the creation of work plans and cost estimates in all applicable engineering disciplines. Preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs including provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, creating design solutions to proposals for engineering projects or programs and solving critical technical design related issues/ questions from customer.

  • Works with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating with the customer to drive and deliver improvements. Attends project meetings and presents all technical aspects of project assignments. Interacts with customer, contractors, suppliers and others.

  • Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service.

  • Performs analytic and diagnostic studies to determine most suitable technical solution to meet customer needs. Proposes technical solutions for complex enquiries. Prepares/supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives. Participates in the kick off meeting organized by the project team.

  • Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues.

  • Defines cost and price for the proposed solution and align with Sales organization.

  • Provides information to the risk review process in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy and drive the risk review process.

  • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization.

  • Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.

  • Negotiate contracts/frame agreements with customers based on the company risk and conditions.

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background:

  • Bachelors Degree in electrical Engineer with 3-4 years of experience

  • Autocad

  • Intermediate level of English

  • Experience in project engineering for Medium and High Voltage substations

  • Could be an engineering professional interested in transitioning to a commercial role

  • Sales and marketing intelligence

  • Sales Process and tools

  • Contract sales and risk management

  • General knowledge on the product / systems / services, Experience with marketing, sales
