Insulation Material Engineer

How you'll make an impact

1. You will develop new technologies and products for power transformers as part of the R&D team and R&D global organization, lead product and process development projects self-driven on time, on budget and on quality.

2. You will analyze the existing insulation materials and provide fundamental knowledge about chemical systems and their use and organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies and new products.

3. You will document and transfer your knowledge and findings from R&D to production environment both locally and in other facilities abroad, provide technical support in domain of expertise to other departments when needed (product management, business development, marketing and sales, engineering).

4. You will stay up to date with the latest technology solutions, international standards, market trends and customer requirements relating to transformer high voltage bushings, maintain close collaboration with suppliers to ensure raw material quality and perfect fit to the needs of R&D and the factories. You will be aware of HSE aspects and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations and validation of alternative materials.

5. You will generate validation procedures.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a Master's level education in polymer engineering or similar.

2. More than 2 years of working, experience in large organization is considered a plus.

3. Strong background and hands-on working experience in insulation materials, including lab scale up to prototyping, ideally in a factory environment. Practical knowledge of the full material characterization methods (thermal, mechanical, processing).

4. Solid track record as project leader, proficiency in the use of MS Office, statistical and simulation tools and responsible team player with structured, proactive, self-driven, and result-oriented work approach.

5. Spirit of innovation, "out of the box" thinking.

6. Fluent in English.
