Senior Commissioning Engineer

How you'll make an impact

• Manage the commissioning phase of our Utilities, Data Centre sub station projects, focusing on safety, quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and innovative energy solutions.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimization of digital engineering solutions.

• Engage with clients and stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure projects align with community values and expectations.

• Prepare and review project documentation and reports.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers, enhancing their skills and fostering a culture of excellence.

• Responsible for testing managing and testing of substation equipment.

• Prepare the project commissioning program, including schedule, inspection and test plan, during tender and site execution phases.

• Ensure the project adheres to Hitachi EHS and Quality Policies and meets project specifications.

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field.

• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, policies, procedures, and practices.

• Working in Ireland, in testing and commissioning HV substation equipment, protection, and control systems.

• Experience in the implementation and execution of Safe Systems of Work, LV permits, and lock-out tag-out procedures.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements and The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

• Experience in developing commissioning programs and supporting procedures.

• Commissioning experience on HV/MN substations

• Highly motivated and able to work under pressure.

• Willingness to travel in Ireland
