Service Commissioning Engineer

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on transformer and substation equipment.

• Conduct diagnostic tests and troubleshoot electrical and control systems, including protection relays and MV panels.

• Provide technical advice and support to customers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product reliability and service performance.

• Prepare detailed service and commissioning reports in line with company standards.

• Ensure all work complies with Hitachi Energy's strict safety rules, as well as local and industry regulations.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professionalism, safety, and technical excellence.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or a closely related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in service, commissioning, or maintenance - including at least 2 years in high-voltage environments.

• In-depth knowledge of transformer design, operation, and protection systems.

• Strong electrical troubleshooting and analytical skills, with proficiency in diagnostic tools and relevant software.

• Fluent in English (B2) and good knowledge of Dutch (B1) - safety communication in both languages is essential.

• Demonstrated safety mindset with the ability to stop or refuse unsafe work.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the Netherlands and occasionally abroad for service calls.
