Supplies business performance is reliant on the ability to understand, analyze and drive market share results. This role is responsible for integrating information coming from multiple sources into cohesive analysis and narrative around the share position for both the Laser and Inkjet businesses, for use in driving action throughout the entire Print Organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing the drivers of current market share performance, including areas of opportunity and risk,conveying the Supplies share story across multiple forumsto business and market partners, andthrough presentations for quarterly business reviews, ELT reviewsand other senior management forums to drive decision making.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for generation and issuance of official quarterly aftermarket share results for both Ink and Laser Supplies, including validation and authentication of results.
- Utilize telemetry to analyze the primarily drivers of share performance.
- Communicate data driven insights to the business to driver action.
- Effectively and creativity tells stories with data using visualization tools/methods to demonstrate insight impact and business value.
- Drive Share goal setting process for the organization. Effectively communicate plans, proposals, and results and negotiate options at senior management levels
- Understanding of how to manage disparate unstructured and structured data in a distributed environment
- Manage relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data driven innovation, provide domain specific expertise in cross organization projects/initiatives
- Drive alignment and communication of standardized enterprise accepted share processes, calculations and methodologies
- Advanced skills in forecasting, budgeting, profitability, sensitivity analysis, and financial modeling.
- Support the Story Behind the Numbers process, analyzing and presenting key drivers of Supplies Share performance for earning release.
- Develops key takeaways and recommendations from complex data and business analyses and helps to formulate them into action plans.
- Leads highly complex, time- sensitiveanalytics projects and identifies compelling trends and opportunities for business leaders.
- Partner with various organizations across HP and leadscross- functional teams across the entire span of business planning activities where needed.
Education and Experience Required:
Typically 10+ years total experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance, or related functional area. Advanced university degree required (e.g., MBA) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of research methodology for the most challenging business issues.
- Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills.
- Ability to leverage new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches and insights.
- Extensive knowledge of how to analyze business problems using statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
- Superior business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills.
- Excellent project management skills, including leading large, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
- Strong relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.
- Strong leadership skills, including team-building, conflict resolution, and management.
- Ability to lead multiple, large, time sensitive projects or work streams.
- Ability to identify emerging trends from market and industry data, and make clear and compelling business planning recommendations.
- Strong at Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple quick-turn requests within a week.
- Experience presenting quantitative information to executives.
- Experience in Printing business desired
