The position will provide critical World Wide leadership, counsel, structure, guidance and analytics to the Print Hardware System (PHS) organization.The PHS organization continues the journey to transform the Print business model to strengthen HP's leadership position in the Printing world. This position will provide leadership in formulating processes and models to analyze business information looking for trends, strengths, and weaknesses and ways to improve financial performance. Interpreting data and information and creating executive level presentations is another key area of responsibility.
To be successful, this role must: possess unique mastery in contributing to the development of innovative principles and ideas and operating in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate; provide highly innovative solutions; lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives; may participate in cross-division, multi-function teams; provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees; routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives; develops strategy and set functional policy and direction; act as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.
Responsibilities:
Deep understanding of the Print HW (Hardware)portfolio, market, and industry profit pools. Understands the transactional and contractual business models, route to market complexities, pricing models for HW, Supplies and Service.
Develop financial models and be part of projects regarding strategic initiatives and critical decisions
Coordinate, manage, and gather information on all business requirements for performance tracking
Develop, update, and analyze valuation models
Manage special projects, implement and recommend process improvements
Perform quick ad-hoc modeling analysis
Assist in performing financial benchmarks
Prepare executive level presentations and drive reviews
Education and Experience Required:
First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst preferred.
Typically experienced in more than one finance function.
Knowledge and Skills:
Critical thinking and problem solving capabilities
Excellent verbal and technical writing skills, able to absorb a lot of information and organize into useable information
Excellent business application skills such as Advanced Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot,Power BI/Tableau, SQL and Python.
Strong financial modeling skills, but also elevate data for strong storytelling and insights.
Superior communication and influencing skills
Superior teamwork skills, cross functionally
