At HP 200A (named after Hewlett-Packard's first product the HP200A audio oscillator), we are driving the strategic direction for our new, microfluidics-based, growth businesses beginning with healthcare diagnostics. As the world's largest microfluidics company with 30+ years of inkjet printing experience, we have the expertise and scale to craft sophisticated microfluidics solutions that can disrupt healthcare diagnostics.
In this DevOps role for the HP200A Bigdata team you will be responsible for building and supporting the data infrastructure for this exciting new venture for HP. You will be working with Data Architects, Product/Program Managers, and other Experts to strategically accelerate the Big Data Platform for delivering enterprise data for the HP200A digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and proof of concept of new technologies and solutions, both open-source and commercial, andstay current with industry trend
- Implement and integrate Infrastructure as Code platform building blocks
- Test system integrity, implement designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed
- Building and maintaining tools, solutions and services associated with deployment and the operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors
- Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements
- Experience in requirements definition and transforming concepts into workable process models and solutions
- Troubleshoot issues during testing and production, catching and solving before launch
- Managing and deploy product updates/fixes as required while implementing integrations when they arise
- Assures designs and project activities are in compliance with data policies, architecture, security and quality guidelines and standards.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into organization wide projects and activities in the HP200A big data space.
Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 5-7 years DevOps experience supporting enterprise-grade applications
AWS/Azure expertise
DataBricks Provisioning/Operations
Experience with Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps
- Extensive experience with data engineering tools, languages, frameworks to mine, cleanse and explore data.
- Ability to work independently under a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and software development principles and strategies
- Strong experience in overall architecture of big data systems, cloud services/systems.
- Extensive experience designing data systems/solutions to manage complex data in complex, distributed and massively parallel systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Knowledge of Data regulatory requirements associated with the Healthcare industry a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Typically 6-10 years' experience.
