    As an IBM Product Marketing Intern, you'll work collaboratively, driving work that addresses a strategic IBM Marketing business challenge. In addition to your project work, the internship includes educational, networking, and social activities. Between project work and intern programming, you'll get to touch a variety of areas within Marketing. At the end of program, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of Marketing Leaders and Practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.

    Our product marketers build best-in-class marketing strategies to drive product awareness, generate leads, and facilitate product adoption through compelling content creation and strategic marketing plans in order to meet overall business objections. As a Product Marketing Intern, you may:

    • Develop content that positions and differentiates our offerings in the market
    • Create product-centric experiences for our prospects and clients that delight and inspire
    • Translate our services and offerings into marketing messages and compelling stories that influence analysts, customers, and partners
    • Become an expert in the customer journey, evaluating their experience, looking for gaps, and making recommendations to improve the customer experience

    This role may be based in New York, NY or Austin, TX.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited University

    • Available for an internship in Summer 2025

    • Rising senior for the 2025-2026 school year

    • Passionate about Marketing, technology, Consulting, or a related field

    • Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Comfortable working with groups of different backgrounds and skills to enable collaboration

    Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

    • Basic knowledge of product marketing, B2B marketing, field marketing, or related field
    • Passionate about software products, hybrid cloud, AI, or hardware products
    • A strategic, consultative, data-driven mindset
    • Basic knowledge of problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Basic understanding of go-to-market strategies, how to develop audience strategies, client experience design, and A/B testing
    • Basic Excel, Python, Tableau, or related technical skills
