Your Role and Responsibilities
The Senior Business Process Automation Architect role is focused on the design of solutions which enable existing and new application components, existing and new applications, IBM packaged software offerings and systems to work together within an enterprise or among enterprises. These solutions may use different technologies, vendors, platforms, and styles of computing.
Expert Labs focus is to develop solutions using IBM Software that fully integrate and collaborate with existing IT systems to perform an automated business function (usually known as "Enterprise Application Integration" or more recently as "Business Integration"). New Services Oriented Architectures (SOA), the related standards and technologies are an important area for this role.
All levels of integration are within the scope of the Automation Architect (User Access, Application, Extended Enterprise, Process, and Information Integration). The Business process Automation Architect role requires broad knowledge of IBM Software and a holistic view of enterprise solutions, including a sound appreciation of operational costs, security, performance engineering, application development, and systems management.
This includes having experience in: Enterprise architecture, Integration Architecture, Integration tools (IBM MQ, Apache Kafka, API Gateway, Data Power), Cloud architectures, hybrid, private cloud and multi-cloud and more. Being Able to understand the requirements, current state architecture of the enterprise and create roadmap for the future enhancements accordingly.
You will:
Provide professional architecture services in design, configuration, and integration of IBM Software on client engagements.
Define work breakdown, activity descriptions, and work effort estimates for pre-sales of complex solutions.
Work independently on significantly complex projects/problems as individual contributor
Effectively lead the collective team effort performing complex projects that require both seasoned technical skills and judgment.
Drive domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
Collaborate practice-wide in developing policies, standards, guidelines, and methods.
Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to provide recommendations to clients.
Collaborate with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks, and benefits.
Present technical solutions to clients and at conferences.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Extensive experience in defining solution architecture for large enterprise applications using standard software integration patterns, SOA Webservices (SOAP and REST), ESBs, Open Source products, and strong working knowledge of SOA, SOAP, WSDL, Service Orchestration, Business Process Choreography, BPEL, Spring MVC and JSON.
Knowledge of and experience delivering Automation and Integration solutions using IBM Software (Workflow, Decisions, Capture, Content, BPM, WPS, APIc, ESB(WESB/IIB/DataPower), WSRR, WBSF, WCC, WTX, WMQ, WAS and BPM SOA)
Understanding of Object-Oriented design methodologies and design patterns. Agile practices.
Prior experience in timely creation of appropriate technical artefacts e.g. Application Architecture, Solution Design Documents, etc.
Proven experience in Complex architecture design for customer facing application, creativity, innovation management; functional and non-functional aspects (infra, security, performance, operation, etc) of solution architectures.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly through self-study.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
