Sr. Software Development Manager

• Interface with product management and offering managers to understand customer requirements and business prioritization

• Work with architects and technical leaders to build development plans

• Drive development activities, monitor progress, collaborate to align dependencies, remove blockers for team members and manage risks

• People management of technical talents executing HR programs for employee acquisition, development, performance management and optimization, retention, and separation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Relevant experience of 20+ years:

• Demonstrated leadership with atleast 10 years of hands-on technical IT industry experience preferably in the area of Systems product R&D associated with Cloud/AI technologies
• Atleast 5 years of People Management experience, preferably managing Managers as well as Senior Technical resources
• Proven ability to manage and lead/guide/mentor technical team and been part of their talent & career development - essentially a people champion
• Good problem solver - business/technical solutions, conflict resolution, expert negotiator
• Familiar with Enterprise Server (Unix/Linux) Operating System (advantage if familiar with IBM Z Systems as a consumer or user)

Technically associated with:

• Systems Software, and Server/Systems platform architecture and familiar with Virtualization technologies and Performance optimization approaches

• Kubernetes, RHOCP, DevOps, Python, GO Language, Docker, Jenkins, etc.

• AI Methodologies including Data Science, Generative AI, AI Compiler/Runtime, Machine learning, Deep learning, and Natural language processing, Data Handling, etc.

• Familiar with tools to track project & defect progress (RQM, RTC, Clear Quest, Best Quest, github, Jupyter, Jira, Trello, etc.) from program concept to delivery

• Experienced in driving process transformation and innovation in the organization

• Drive Agile, DevOps, and Design Thinking methodologies at work to streamline the delivery process

• Proven ability to work effectively in a global team environment, forming & managing multiple projects across geographies

• Proven command over the English language, both written and verbal.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience leading Agile scrum, working with GitHub and other tracking tools.
• Experience in working on a SaaS application with SOC2 certifiation
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline and development cycle process
• Leading organizational transformation, both technically and organizationally
