Salary Range Dublin 69,000 - 99,000 EUR per year Your Job As a Cloud Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you are in charge of reliability, performance, and innovation for a portion of Indeed’s Cloud Infrastructure. You command broad knowledge on Cloud Infrastructure topics, but relish the opportunity to dig in deep on new technologies. You are able to manage and communicate a technology’s complete life cycle. You are comfortable with Infrastructure as Code(IaC) scripting, and always consider when you should automate a task or make it self-serve. You enjoy being a consultant and working with teams outside your own to help solve problems. Responsibilities: Own availability, performance, and growth of Indeed’s Cloud Infrastructure Responsible for consulting with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities. Developing and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery processes Serve as a subject matter expert for Indeed’s cloud infrastructure implementation, performing design reviews and consulting with internal teams to ensure implementation best practices Build out monitoring tools and scripts to ensure your vertical is performing well and meeting SLOs with users. Responsible for large scale performance tuning and conducts performance improvement services that may include, performance gap analysis, root cause analysis, improvement and design considerations and recommendations. Lead upgrades and regular maintenance Serves in on-call rotation for cloud infrastructure specialty Create forecasting models for capacity planning, providing proactive growth for Indeed’s infrastructure Ensures all cloud security measures are incorporated into infrastructure implementation Ensures proper infrastructure resilience and proper inventory management and tagging Backup and Recovery design and implementation Build compliance, governance and oversight Who You Are Extensive knowledge of Linux Administration and Engineering 3+ years of current DevOps, Systems/Site/Production Engineering or Linux Systems Administration 3+ years building & maintaining large globally distributed production Linux enterprise environments 2+ years Virtualization Administration Expertise (KVM, XenServer, Docker) Deep technical background of production operating systems; we use CentOS/Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) You can read and interpret IETF standards and RFCs You’re as comfortable with /bin/perf as you are with /bin/ls Background with common infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Chef and Ansible Solid scripting (Python preferred) experience with ability to utilize REST API interfaces to accomplish tasks Background with a higher level scripting language, such as Perl or Python Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk, and cloud technologies. A willingness to take responsibility, accountability, and ownership A willingness to mentor and teach people what you know AWS Solutions Architect Certification Experience in building large distributed systems Experience onboarding(test/POC/rollout) and managing technologies Nice to Have: Terraform Associate Certification Experience with networks (routing, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPCs, VPNs, DNS,, etc.) Experience with compute and storage needs (automated OS management, patch management, managed AMI templates, storage) Excellent understanding of cloud foundational services - Storage (object, block, file, etc.) Who We Are We are a rapidly growing and highly-capable Engineering organization building the most popular job site on the planet.
