Salary Range US Remote 143,000 - 207,000 USD per year Your Job Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) applies software engineering techniques and discipline to production operations to build and run highly scalable, global distributed systems and microservices. SRE adds nines to our already well engineered and highly reliable software products supporting job seekers, employers, and internal users. In this role you will be managing a team of SREs within Enterprise organization to guide them in maximizing feature velocity, while achieving high availability, performance and correctness goals. We embed directly with product teams, and work closely with dozens of teams to drive adoption of good reliability practices, like SLOs, error budget policies, actionable alerts, follow-the-sun on-call, and more. Responsibilities: Manage a team of SRE Engineers within the Enterprise global organization who design, write, ship, and motivate the creation of software and systems to increase reliability and organizational efficiency Expand the team by hiring the best engineers Own reliability, stability, availability and performance of Indeed’s most critical systems Help engineers develop their careers through personal and performance management Foster an environment of continuous learning which builds excellent engineering skill sets Maintain service health through monitoring and follow-the-sun incident response Improve service reliability through blameless post-incident reviews and using code to prevent or respond to problem recurrence Who You Are Requirements: BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience writing code in Java, C#, Go, Perl, Python, or a similar software language. Experience managing a team of software, SRE, and/or system engineers. We get excited about candidates who have: Proficiency in algorithms, data structures, and software design and/or Linux, networking, AWS, application performance analysis. Experience designing, writing, and/or troubleshooting software and systems in a distributed, internet-scale Linux environment. Experience recruiting and hiring software and/or system engineers. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
