Salary Range Tokyo 10,710,000 - 15,530,000 JPY per year Your Job The Marketplace Experimentation team’s mission is to help people get jobs, employers hire and Indeed accomplish its goals by: Enabling high quality experiments Providing insight into the causal effects of marketplace interventions And broadcasting reliable measurements of marketplace outcomes Responsibilities: Help people get jobs! Use quantitative analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to solve problems like impact estimation, success measurement, anomaly detection, etc. Design, implement and iterate on experiments to maximize value for employers when they post and sponsor jobs at Indeed. Work across a variety of teams to adjust experiment approaches to their business needs, and define business metrics to measure the success of products Work closely with a world-class team of software engineers and data/product scientists solving fundamental problems in the advertising space to help guide tactical and strategic product decisions. Share your work with a diverse audience across a variety of media. Help us promote and practice transparency by highlighting failures that we learn from as much as successes. Our Product Science team is a part of the Indeed Data Science group. While machine learning is one tool in our toolbox, Product Scientists use a variety of skills with the goal of driving business impact using whatever tools are necessary. Who You Are Requirements: 3+ years of professional industry experience in Business Analytics/Data Analysis Experience coding in Python, R or another advanced data programming language Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to write and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences Driven to help their teammates and Indeed’s products What we’d love to see (but isn’t required): Master’s or PhD., with advanced coursework in statistics, machine learning, programming, or related skills Relevant experience (including internships and/or research) in Business Analytics, Data Analysis, Product Management, Data Science, or related fields Experience building and/or pulling data using SQL Production experience with machine learning and other advanced statistical methods Deep understanding of designing and implementing A/B tests, and advanced extensions Who We Are We are a rapidly growing and highly-capable Engineering organization building the most popular job site on the planet. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
