As a Product Strategist at Indeed, you will be part of our SMB Product Strategy Team, working closely with Strategy, Product, Research, Marketing, Sales, and Client Success to analyze data, develop insights and apply these insights to improve our customer experience and business outcomes in the US and internationally. Responsibilities Create and deliver accurate, high-quality analyses to address operational and strategic questions. Provide forward-looking insights and propose recommendations Independently structure data-driven analyses, using SQL/IQL, Excel models, and / or other in-house tools Build and maintain annual bottoms up revenue forecasts and work with cross-functional teams to develop 3-5 year business plans Track business critical metrics and uncover potential problems / unexpected trends. Conduct root cause analyses and deliver clear recommendations to reverse negative trends / accelerate positive trends Identify and size core business opportunities - like converting free users to paid, changing monetization strategies, etc. Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS to identify and drive continuous operational improvements Execute special projects/ad hoc analyses for the senior leadership team, as initiatives, products, risks, and opportunities are constantly evolving Who You Are Requirements: 2+ years of experience in in product strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, FP&A or business development Proficiency conducting analyses and building financial models Passionate about helping small and medium business employers be successful Comfortable solving complex, ambiguous problems using abstract math & reasoning Self-driven and proactive; able to confidently lead your portion of a workstream or project independently with limited guidance Strong communication, data synthesis, and project management skills Preferred: Experience at a top-tier consulting or investment banking firm Experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau or other advanced analytics experience or the ability and desire to learn Who We Are We are a Product team driven by data, and focused on building the most popular job site on the planet.
