Salary Range US Remote 96,000 - 138,000 USD per year Your Job We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our growing team here at Indeed. The Enterprise Experience team is building exciting products that will change how Indeed engages with its Enterprise customers. As an Enterprise Platform team, we develop products and services that are shared by other products across Enterprise and broader Indeed. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (QAAE) to join our growing QA team to help us deliver products faster, without compromising quality.You work with product and engineering teams to plan and develop automated test suites for a specific set of products. Use and develop new tools to effectively test products and improve Indeed's engineering processes. Maintain and evaluate automated tests week to week and report problems you discover. As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for assessing and advocating high quality across an increasing amount of customized user experiences while maximizing the engineering velocity of deployed changes. Along with UX, Product, and software developers, you are a subject matter expert on everything we test and build. You are obsessed with customer satisfaction. You are excited about providing new tools to the QA team to make verification processes more efficient. You work with developers to make hard-to-test features more testable for QA. You understand the inner workings of technologies that you test. You know that it is the job of a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to speak up at any point in the process. You understand the role of a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer and you are a strong advocate for quality -- you are motivated to consider the user experience of the site for various types of users, test the edge cases of products, and lobby for having problems you've encountered get fixed. Who You Are BS in Computer Science or related area, or commensurate work experience 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Software Developer, or similar Automation role Demonstrated programming skills in Java, Javascript, Python or related object-oriented languages Prior success as an individual QA Engineer embedded within a product team Experience with all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing, and regression testing Experience testing all layers of a web application, including front-end, service layer, and back-end testing Experience with CI tool like Jenkins. We get excited about candidates who Are comfortable with Unix commands, experience writing shell scripts Have experience as a Software Design Engineer in Test or SDET Have experience using Git Understand the value derived from shipping code rapidly to production and learning/iterating on the results Passionate about mentorship and helping grow others Able to debug, analyze and work independently. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
