This role will report to the Senior Manager, Employee Relations. The Senior Employee Relations Partner will be an objective partner and advisor to HR and leaders within the business. This role will promote positive employee relations and manage ER activities for various business units across North America. Key Responsibilities: Provide counsel to business leaders, employees, and Human Resources stakeholders on both strategic and tactical employee relations solutions. Actively collaborate with senior leaders in the business as well as HR stakeholders to drive business outcomes and organizational effectiveness. Act as a trusted advisor to the business and HR, from a strategic business perspective as well as an employee relations expert. Manage investigations into employee complaints by establishing investigation plans, conducting investigations, and working in partnership with ER leadership to recommend resolutions to HRBP and management team. Consult on developing appropriate employee relations programs to drive positive change. Ensure equitable and consistent treatment of employees, provide policy interpretation, and make recommendations on employment actions. Advise managers on effectively handling performance and behavioral issues in line with Indeed’s culture and legal regulations. Write and/or edit performance documentation in a fair, concise, and clear manner. Prepare and maintain appropriate investigation documentation. Confidently coach and influence managers and HR team members around best practices and outcomes, regarding sensitive issues. Provide counsel and support to employees in order to achieve resolutions that are fair and aligned with business objectives. Maintain ER metrics and review on a regular basis to assess where action can be taken to mitigate company risk; present data to HR Leadership Team and Senior business leaders along with thoughtful solutions. Evaluate and analyze situations using relevant data gathered to make decisions, identify gaps and recommend changes. Demonstrate empathy at all times especially when dealing with matters of diversity and inclusion. Stay current with applicable Human Resources-related laws, rules and regulations. Who You Are Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience 8-10+ years of strategic Human Resources and/or Employee Relations experience in a fast-paced environment Focused experience in employee relations including independently handling investigations, solving employee performance shortfalls, and managing behavioral incidents Superb communication skills including effective listening, writing and presenting; ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner Strong working knowledge of state and federal employment laws, such as Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA Proven ability to be an objective and trusted advisor for HR Business Partners, employees, and managers by building strong partnerships Ability to prioritize conflicting demands focused on delivering solid and consistent business results Ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency Ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and comfortable working in gray Demonstrated experience learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and to cultivate relationships across teams Who We Are Our Human Resources team champions our culture while working tirelessly to attract and retain the best people.
