The Security Talent Development team establishes and implements all the processes for the lifecycle of Security team members: recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, professional development, information for operational effectiveness, and growth. We are seeking a leader with experience building and teams focused on providing growth and development pathways for security professionals. In this role, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and driving the path for all Indeed Security team members. The Role We are looking for a Senior Manager to drive the establishment, growth, and maturity of the Security Talent Development function at Indeed. This will include building and developing the team to identify Security skills requirements and development of security talent. This role will develop, implement, and communicate all processes necessary for the lifecycle of Security team members. Your team will be responsible for collaborating across all of Indeed to ensure Security’s processes are consistent, and align, with other PTE functions. As the Senior Manager of Security Talent Development, you will have the opportunity to stand up a function that is new to the Security organization. You will take ownership of driving the strategy, building your team, incorporating best practices, and developing key metrics. Responsibilities Drive the Security Talent Development team to establish Indeed Security as a destination organization for security talent. Establish standard, consistent processes for security candidate assessments, hiring, and onboarding, to enable the Security team to grow to meet demand. Direct, and be accountable for, assigned Security transformational Strategic initiatives that further company objectives. Lead a cross-functional team to manage and execute assigned services and initiatives. Create and maintain strategic partnerships with senior Security leadership and other Indeed teams to meet staffing needs across the organization. Mentor and build a diverse, global, and high-performance Talent Development team by creating appropriate learning opportunities and timely feedback. Create a culture of learning, collaboration, transparency and feedback across teams. Provide analysis and thought leadership on issues critical to the success of the Security team’s strategic goals. Work independently to understand, prioritize, and plan team work items, and coach others do the same. Make data driven recommendations regarding staffing needs for various teams. Drive process updates that improve ability to deliver across multiple teams. Actively participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others - improving their skills and ability to get things done. Communicate effectively across multiple channels with a wide range of audiences. Partner and interact with senior leadership across Indeed to achieve objectives and own business outcomes. Demonstrate mastery of program management strategy and execution. Develop, manage, and communicate the Security talent transformation roadmap to leadership, customers, and other key stakeholders Define ambitious, measurable goals, objectives, and identify metrics and solutions that show impact and progress over time Work closely with cross-functional teams (internal and external to Security) to deliver effective business solutions. Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to stakeholders including customers, executives, peers, and employees. Foster an environment of continuous learning, evidence-based decision-making, and psychological safety. Use OKRs and KPIs to measure success and to communicate to your team, customers, and Security leadership. Raise accountability by escalating issues in a timely manner and creating and maintaining detailed documentation. Resolve issues, dependencies, and conflicts; make certain that your teams are involved, engaged, and informed. Who You Are Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, Mathematics, OR comparable level of professional experience (below) 7+ years of experience relevant to growth and development of a security organization, in a technical company 5+ years of experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing, cross-functional teams 3+ years experience managing and developing managers and teams Strong interpersonal and leadership skills of teams across multiple geo-locations. Hands-on experience developing and delivering talent development processes and programs Demonstrated expertise of building a consensus across business partners and technology leaders, and influencing successful outcomes. Proven track record of being results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals. Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
