Senior Technical Product Manager, Conversations

Salary Range Seattle 177,000 - 257,000 USD per year Your Job The Communications Platform provides tools and technologies that enable communications to and between job seekers and employers across messaging, voice and video mediums. The Senior Technical Product Manager, Conversations will partner with other Indeed product teams and cross-functional stakeholders to define, prioritize and deliver communication capabilities that empower intuitive and frictionless interactions between job seekers and employers. The output of these efforts will have a direct impact on Indeed’s mission – to help people get jobs. Responsibilities: Develop strategies, goals and roadmaps for Indeed’s conversational communication products that are aligned with internal client and external user needs Lead and grow a team of product managers to drive improvements in job seeker and employer responsiveness, engagement and hiring outcomes Engage and influence internal client teams to align product and feature delivery with business objectives and priorities. Deep dive user behavior data to identify and distill user problems into product requirements Provide clear written and verbal updates on the roadmap and progress of key projects to senior leadership and stakeholders Act as the face of conversational communication at Indeed, evangelizing conversation products and capabilities to other product and engineering teams across Indeed. Who You Are You are a customer obsessed technical product leader with a history of using quantitative and qualitative research to inform business decisions, validate hypotheses, and understand how customers use your products. You have strong business judgment, with a history of successfully operating in ambiguous problem spaces and influencing across teams. You also come from a technical background and are comfortable engaging engineers on functional requirements and technical design trade-offs. Above all, you love solving hard technical challenges to make a difference in the lives of other people, whether they are job seekers, employers or your fellow Indeedians. Qualifications: 7+ years of product management experience in a technical domain at a data-driven company 3+ years of experience working with SaaS, communications and/or messaging technologies 3+ years of experience using data analysis tools (e.g., A|B test software, Tableau) and/or scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python) to inform product decisions Experience developing a vision for your team that is aligned with business goals and defining effective OKRs to measure progress toward that vision. Experience managing and coaching direct reports Ability to work effectively across technical, product, legal and business stakeholders. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Proven leadership skills and attention to detail Preferred qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent experience Experience building APIs for internet-scale usage Experience building or managing B2B or B2B2C products Experience in two-sided marketplaces Who We Are We are a Product team driven by data, and focused on building the most popular job site on the planet. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
